Further Development of the Financial Insight Tool

Pension Fund PGB has a strong focus on customer orientation. In recent years, the fund has made significant strides in choice guidance for its participants. As a result of ongoing innovation and market development, Pension Fund PGB and Yellowtail Conclusion joined forces to create the Financial Insight Tool (FIT). This tool provides PGB participants with engaging and comprehensible insights into their financial future and available options.

After the launch of FIT Phase 1 and 2, feedback was gathered from PGB participants. With these new insights, along with behavioral science and choice guidance in mind, it was time to further develop the existing tool. This eventually led to the creation of FIT Phase 3.

Clearer, more visual, and more personalized

How do you ensure that people gain financial insight, showing them what they have left and what their options are? Ideally, you would create an interactive environment that allows participants to easily visualize their financial future and explore ways to optimize it. Just like the current IT landscape, a person’s life also changes regularly. People might want to retire earlier, work less, know what happens if they are laid off, plan a trip, save for their (grand)children, or simply understand whether they can maintain their current lifestyle.

FIT Phase 3

With FIT Phase 3, participants now gain even clearer, more visual, and more personalized insights. FIT not only looks better but also offers enhanced functionality. You can now easily track your income and expenses, add a partner if applicable, and experiment with various scenarios, such as retiring earlier, working less, or dealing with unemployment. You can see how different events impact your pension. This way, you can be ready for the future with just a few clicks.

The Result

The FIT Phase 3 project has now been completed, and both Pension Fund PGB and Yellowtail Conclusion have received much positive feedback regarding the implemented innovations. In addition to the developments in FIT, we have also introduced a new version of the Investment Choice Freedom tool. The most impactful change is the improved guidance for participants through understandable and recognizable visuals, allowing them to see the expected impact of each investment profile and related scenarios. This enables them to better assess the risk of their choices and make more informed decisions.
