For InnoEnergy, this was more than a technical question. In 2021, the supplier of the platform behind several of its core processes stopped developing it. So how do you keep an environment stable when your reporting, grant management, data management and financial control all depend on it, without a costly and complex migration? Together with Yellowtail Conclusion, InnoEnergy found a route that combines stability, flexibility and continued development.
The challenge
InnoEnergy invests in companies that drive the energy transition in Europe. For reporting, financial control and grant management, the organisation uses its own solution, built on the platform that underpins Key Control Dashboard. When the original supplier stopped developing that platform, InnoEnergy faced a serious risk.
InnoEnergy had a choice to make: invest in a large-scale migration, or work with a partner able to manage and develop the platform further. In 2022, that choice marked the start of our partnership.
Recalibrate, don’t replace
Key Control Dashboard kept the underlying platform alive and under active development. As a result, InnoEnergy kept working in a proven environment, with room to adapt it to new needs and requirements. Over the years, InnoEnergy has built its own solution on this platform, supporting several core processes.
Data from various source and business systems comes together in one environment, where it feeds dashboards, reports and management information. Because the organisation manages its information centrally, it works from a single, consistent information base. And that base adapts whenever processes, data sources or reporting obligations change.
