Product improvement
“Our new software development team has gone full throttle over the past year,” Jochem says proudly. “With a team of people specialized in user experience, we have given the front end of our GRC tool a refreshed design and a new look and feel. In addition, we have made the tool easier to use. For example, we added an AI chatbot that answers users’ questions. Our learning and community environment, KeySpire, contains all knowledge about Key Control Dashboard. Through the chatbot, we make this knowledge easily accessible to users. As a result, users are more self-reliant and can do their work faster and with higher quality. These are all efforts that make users’ lives even easier. And they are paying off, because customers are very enthusiastic about these improvements.”
Change at the forefront
Within government, where many of our customers operate, change is part of everyday reality. This year we saw a strong focus on BIO 2, NIS2, and the AI Act. All of these are laws and regulations that apply to everyone and require structure in a complex environment. Stef explains: “We proactively help customers deal as effectively as possible with changes in laws and regulations, including requirements for risk analyses. Through KeySpire, we inform customers about relevant developments. And with the AI chatbot connected to it, we can support them even better. Building on the strong foundation we have, we offer a stable solution for the challenges ahead.”
A more resilient Netherlands
Geopolitical tensions are also driving change. As a result, attention to information security and cyber risks is more essential than ever. Jochem says: “With our software, we enable organizations to become more resilient to these risks. Users can make better decisions based on real-time information and clear data in the tool. Sometimes this truly concerns the security of the Netherlands as a whole.” Stef adds that the security of OT is becoming increasingly important: “OT, or operational technology, is increasingly connected to digital networks. This creates major risks, such as production downtime or physical damage. Many of our customers are dealing with this. There is growing focus on OT because the threat from major actors is increasing, potentially targeting vital organizations in critical locations in the Netherlands. Organizations that are vulnerable are actively looking for ways to improve their OT security. That is why we have integrated frameworks, risk analyses, and other methodologies to capture these risks into the core of our tool. We expect demand for this to grow among customers who want to make their assets more resilient.”
Strong team
According to Stef, the results achieved over the past year are thanks to the entire team: “It is great to see how people take ownership of what they do. They are given that space as well. This ensures that new colleagues also grow quickly and take on responsibility. From that enthusiasm, you can truly build something strong together. That makes me very proud.” Jochem describes Key Control Dashboard as a “cradle-to-grave company”: “We have our own consultants, project managers, software developers, and our own sales and support team. We are a beautiful puzzle of different personalities. The diversity in educational backgrounds ensures we have a well-rounded team that supports our customers from A to Z and truly adds value.”
Building and expanding
Our all-in-one GRC tool has already proven itself within government. Now the time is right to expand into other sectors as well, according to Jochem. “We want to gain a stronger foothold in the insurance market, where we already have great customers. But we also see a strong match with organizations in sectors such as education, transport, industry, and semi-public sectors. I look forward to taking steps there. In addition, next year we will focus on expanding our ecosystem by forming new partnerships, especially with organizations focused on content. Think of information security, privacy, sustainability, and risk management. This way, we can create an even stronger combination of expertise and software. Building and expanding to add even more value for existing and new customers is what we are aiming for in 2026.”
